What do I need to transfer to UCLA for computer science?

The problem
The answer already exists. Assembling it is the hard part.
Everything a transfer student needs is public. Your college publishes the requirements for every program. The catalog lists every course, its units, and its prerequisites. Cal-GETC says what general education a UC or CSU will accept. The articulation agreements say which of your courses a university will count toward your major. Getting it out means reading requirement language written for counselors, across hundreds of catalog pages, and hoping you didn’t miss a prerequisite buried three semesters down the line.
So most students piece it together on their own. They take a class that doesn’t count. They find the missing prerequisite in week two of the wrong semester. A year gets added to a two-year plan.
This is exactly what a counseling appointment is for. There are just far more students than there are appointments.

Tell us where you’re headed
The school and the major. Counsify pulls the articulation agreement your college holds with that school for that major, for this year. Not a summary of it. The agreement. If the agreement lists no courses for your major, it uses your college’s own program requirements instead, and says so.

- Citations are verified on the server against what was actually retrieved. A page SADIE names but never read gets no chip, and every chip names its document and its page.
- Requirements are parsed by a pipeline that is not a language model, so the same published requirements always produce the same tree. AI explains and answers. It never invents a requirement or edits your plan, which is still worth confirming with a counselor.

I’m Jad. I’m a first-generation college student, and I built Counsify because I needed it and it did not exist.
Community college is the most accessible route into a four-year degree in California, and for a lot of students it is the only one. Everything you have to find out to succeed in it is public. What is missing is an hour of someone’s time to sit down and explain it. For every counselor there are hundreds of students with questions.
So I built the tool I always wanted. Counsify is that hour of help, available whenever you need it. It is built to be patient, specific, and honest about what it does not know. And it is built to make the counselor you eventually see more useful, because you will arrive with a real plan and much better questions.
